Persatuan Choong WPKL & Selangor is a registered organization whose member  consists of Choong Clansmen only.  The founding of this association was started in 1962 and finally was successfully  registered in 1964. Persatuan Choong WPKL & Sel was formerly known as Choong Clansmen Association Kuala Lumpur.

Objective of the Association

This organization is a NON PROFIT, NON POLITICAL, NON RELIGION & NON GOVERNMENT base. The establishment is merely a SOCIAL WELFARE association trying to link and communicate among the Choong clans, to share and to strengthen the relation of Choong family hood.  It is also served as a place to practice our Chinese Culture of knowing our roots and educating our children in  generations to come.

CHOONG Clansmen from Kuala Lumpur to the World

Persatuan Choong WPKL & Selangor  is a center of communication of members from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor to National Level and to the World Level. This organisation is a member of the Malaysia Choong Clansmen Association. It represents Malaysia to the World Zhong Clansmen by participating the 2 yearly World Zhong Clansmen Assembly. This event provide a communicating channel to the Clansmen of other country.

 Association Clans House

With the generosity and the commitment of the renowned leader of the Clansmen, the association successfully owns a property in Taman Midah, Cheras Kuala Lumpur. It is a 2 storey shoplot facing the main road of Jalan Cheras and it is our Clans House that we own it since 1981. Left Picture is the Clans House shot in 1985. Ground Floor rented out. 1st Floor is the Our Clans House.

Cenotaph of Choong Clansmen Kuala Lumpur & Selangor

There is a Cenotaph erected in Kwang Tong Chinese Cemetery Kuala Lumpur. It is a mark of the present of ancestor of Choong Clansmen in Kuala Lumpur.

Adoption of IT to Association

The association has taking a step forward to adopt the Information Technology by launching this website in 2013.  This is an important communication instrument that all the Choong Clansmen is WPKL & Sel is being connected.  Another milestone of the website is to install a customised plugin call ” Clans House Management System” with objective of web-base managing system so that we can manage the clans house effective and efficiently.
